Product Overview:

¡@

The Rochelle Model 3400 Caller ID Telephone Line Simulator (CITLS) is a computer-based instrument

for Central Office simulation of type 1 and type 2 caller ID signals.

The Model 3400 has broad application in design verification and production testing of telephony devices with Caller ID,

Call Waiting, and ADSI (Types 1, 2 and 3).

The Model 3400 ships with user-friendly software that allows the user to set signal parameters such as CAS and ringing level,

frequency and duration.

The Rochelle 3400 is compatible with all major US and international Caller ID standards.

Key Features

Features Benefits
PC-based Instrument

Rugged ISA-based board leverages the power of the PC for test speed, data display, and results storage.

User-friendly Software

DOS and Windows applications provide user-friendly screens

for all product functions and features.

On-hook and Off-hook FSK & DTMF Transmission

Compatible with worldwide Caller ID standards: Bell core,

TIA, ETSI (DTMF, MF and FSK), NTT, BT, and others.

FSK Transmit and Receive

Allows the user to transmit and receive non-standard

and future FSK signal formats (e.g., ADSI and Telemetry).

Audio Input

Allows the user to input external audio or speech for Caller ID

performance testing. (e.g., talk off and talk down tests)

Audio Output

Allows the user to monitor signals (by external speaker or oscilloscope)  from the 3400 and the Device Under Test.

Programmable parameters:

CO Voltage

Ring Frequency

Ring Voltage

Signal/Noise Levels

CAS/Alert Tone

(duration, frequency, amplitude, and twist)

Allows the user to vary Caller ID and telephony signal parameters for full R&D and production testing of both Caller ID and basic telephony functions.

Provides basic telephony simulation, with support for most US and international Caller ID variations.

Easy to modify using the Rochelle Script Language.

Rochelle Script Language ™ (RSL) ¡V version 3.0 or higher.

Allows easy development of powerful test scripts for automated

R&D and production testing without the use of complicated

programming languages (C++, etc.). Scripts are compatible

with the Model 3410 and Model 3500.

On-Board Timer

Allows the precise control and measurement of signal duration

with an accuracy of¡Ó 1 mS.

Warranty

Limited two-year product warranty with full telephone and e-mail support, and software upgrades.
