VG-845　Portable Video Signal Generator

Up to 100 MHz Digital Output, Low bandwidth Mode Supported

VG-845 is a top-of-the-line portable type programmable video signal generator, that supports display units ranging from low resolution units used for mobile telephones or PDA, to high resolution display units with a resolution of UXGA or higher. It supports up to 100 MHz in the parallel output 1/1 clock mode (0.5 to 25 MHz with low bandwidth specification), and up to 200 MHz in the 1/2 clock mode. Low voltage digital serial output (panel link or LVDS) is provided, and the panel link output supports up to 330 MHz in the dual link mode.(*) With these efficient basic performances, the unit can be used for a wide variety of purposes including LCD or PDP R&D activities, as well as for production lines and maintenance.
*The dual link mode will be supported after installation of a device chip. 

　

･Features

･ Provided with digital 1/2 clock mode (parallel output of two dot data for EVEN and ODD by 1 clock), thus dot clocks ranging from 10 to 100 MHz (1/1 clock mode), and from 20 to 200 MHz (1/2 clock mode) can be supported. Also low band mode ranging from 0.t to 25 MHz is available.
･ Low voltage digital serial output
Low voltage digital serial output is provided to reduce EMI in transmitting signals. Either of panel link output or LVDS output can be selected. Panel link output supports up to 330 MHz in the dual link mode.
･ Program data
A memory card is employed as storage of program data. Up to 850 programs can be registered.
･ Editing/Registering software for Windows 95/98
The software (SP-8024) that allows to edit, register and execute program data on a PC is attached. Features that allow a user to edit special patterns and register natural picture are supported.
･ Compatibility with the conventional model
The data are compatible with those stored on a memory card and edited by VG-852/828.
The data contained in a conventional analog output VG units (VG-825 and later model) can be used by connecting to VG845 via RS-232C, and by transferring the data.
